IPextreme Hires Richard J. Browne as CFO; Staffs Silicon Valley Design Center under New Director Pierre-Xavier Thomas

CAMPBELL, CA, November 9, 2005 - IPextreme Inc, a supplier of trusted on-chip subsystems, today announced that it has appointed Richard J. Browne as vice president of finance and CFO and named Pierre-Xavier Thomas as director of its Silicon Valley Design Center. Browne is chartered with a broad range of financial and operating responsibilities while Thomas will head the company's engineering operations in California. Both executives report directly to IPextreme president and CEO, Warren Savage.

"I am excited to have Richard and Pierre on board at this point in the company's growth," said Savage. "Richard's well-rounded and strong financial expertise at tier-one companies and Pierre's semiconductor track record are both great assets to our organization. With these two individuals on board, IPextreme is well poised to continue on its growth path of aligning with leading semiconductor companies to repackage and sell their technology as intellectual property to the system-on-chip design community."

IPextreme supplies silicon-proven intellectual property (IP) subsystems, based on designs sourced from leading semiconductor companies including Infineon and Freescale, to customers building large system-on-chip (SoC) devices. To best support the IP it sells, IPextreme is staffing design centers in the Silicon Valley, Munich and Tokyo--close to customers in the world's major semiconductor design hubs.

Browne brings with him nearly three decades of senior financial executive experience from fast-paced global organizations. Prior to joining IPextreme, Browne was vice president of finance and administration at Agile Software (NASDAQ: AGIL), where he successfully drove the company's initial public offering, as well as a second offering, and also led the integration of several acquisitions. Previously, Browne was in finance management at Apple Computer (NASDAQ: AAPL) and a financial consultant at Merrill Lynch and Co. (NYSE: ML). Browne received a bachelor of science in business administration and accounting from San Jose State University and a master's in business administration from Santa Clara University.

Thomas, with 16 years of high-technology experience, comes to IPextreme after holding several engineering management positions at SGI, including a technical lead position designing processor and I/O hub chips for the SGI MIPS-64 and Intel IA-64 processor-based supercomputers. Previously, he was an engineer and design manager at Clearwater Networks (formerly Xsteam Logics) and a design reuse engineering manager at Synopsys (NASDAQ: SNPS), where he was a key contributor in the development of IP for the Synopsys DesignWare product. Thomas also held engineering positions with Motorola (NYSE: MOT), as product and test engineer, and Thomson Consumer Electronic Components (France), where he contributed to the design of the first MPEG Video Encoder System and was responsible for verification of Digital TV chips designed for Thomson Multimedia. Thomas holds a Diplome d'ingenieur from the University of Technology of Compiegne (UTC-France) and a Diplome d'Etude Appronfondie in Signal, Image and Speech Processing from the National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble (INPG-France).
