CAMPBELL, Calif. – September 20, 2007 – IPextreme® Inc, a semiconductor intellectual property (IP) licensing specialist, has been invited to formally participate in Power.org’s first ever Power Architecture™ Developer Conference (PADC).  This premier industry event will showcase the depth and breadth of the Power Architecture technology.  IPextreme CEO, Warren Savage, will join Sam Fuller, Vice President of Marketing for AMCC; Ron Martino, Director of Power Architecture Solutions, IBM Global Engineering Solutions; Mark Hayter, Chief System Architect and Sr. Director, System Engineering for PA Semi; Mario Morales, Vice President of Semiconductor Research, IDC; and  Glenn Beck, Industrial/Storage Market Segment Manager, Freescale Semiconductor, as they discuss the driving forces in next-generation microprocessors and cores and highlight Power Architecture products and cores with the broadest offering available to the market.  PADC participation follows on the heels of an increasingly expanded relationship with Freescale and IPextreme, wherein the popular Power Architecture e200 family of cores is now available for license through IPextreme.

In addition, Pierre-Xavier Thomas, director, IPextreme, will lead a session on “Integrating Power Architecture e200 Core IP in Embedded SoCs.”  This session will discuss how to efficiently integrate e200 cores into embedded applications.  A description of the logical interfaces will highlight the various types of bus cycles that are seen on the system bus.  Memory subsystems and e200 core registers will also be described.
